He is struggling to follow in his mother's footsteps to become the next ruler, even when his mother is trying to marry him off that would cost him his own life by going through in his family's royalty tradition. When his mother revealed that she is pregnant, at the end of the chapter, "Journey to the Arachnid Kingdom" he is shocked of becoming a brother.
