Mr. Pied Jodan
Species: Oystercatcher Bird Age: 42 Occupation: Chaperone Powers/Abilities: Flight and Voice Mimicry Description: An Animaverian Oyster-eating Bird who first chaperoned the selected five classes on a field trip vacation to the oasis resort located in the capital city of the Southern Continent, Vermillion Vile. He usually gets run over every time he announces something fun and exciting to the students. He seems like a nice guy, but sometimes he is a bit wise-cracking, witty, loud-mouthed, temperamental, and clever. His voice is inspired by Gilbert Gottfried and is like Iago from the Disney film, “Aladdin” except from a different bird species. After the students of Diamondropolis Academy finished their vacation field trip, he is secretly involved in a plot by a mysterious figure wearing a theatrical mask (Dark Void) who told him to keep his existence a secret, leaving him intimately. He reappeared in the Volume IV chapter, “Eukoryotius’ Greatest Treasure” where he is being held hostage by Dark Void and his pack to demand the Animaverian Government council the whereabouts of Eukoryotius’ Greatest Treasure, knowing that if the council just lets one civilian die, it will surely damage their reputation. He was later free from their clutches and escaped allowing the council to fight the criminal pack. Two chapters later (Soko vs. Enemies of Eukoryotius Legion Part 2), he flew all the way to Vermillion Vile to alert President Kizoku but realizes that the city is currently at a war, which he is determined to hide from until Tatu appeared and tells them to stay hidden or will be spotted. Pied waited until M.I.G.H.T. shows up as a final resort of winning the war, while he and Tatu comment how awesome Tsuyo was after he killed Shimazu. After the villain alliance crisis is over, Sanana Lanka offers him a job to serve him as a spy for the Animaverian Government due to his bravery, which he gladly accepts. He reappears with Tsuyo in the Volume IV chapter, “Birth of a New Prince.” Where they are attempting to find another wormhole appearing at random, but instead find out the power source they detected was from the newborn Animaverian Spider prince Hexathabridge holding an incredibly rare power known as “Mythikos.” After the infant prince was captured by Buzzborg, he along with Tsuyo, Soko, and Samui accompany them to rescue him. After Buzzborg’s defeat, he and Tsuyo resume their research of finding the source of the wormholes appearing random, which they assume it is most likely caused by the treasure being tampered with by Tegen, which later revealed that the treasure had nothing to do with the wormholes opening at random that it is caused by an outside force (revealed to be the Archaealites) as he and the rest of the council are sucked into the void and being turned into energy particles in the process. At the end of the series after the Archaealite crisis as well as the restoration of Eukoryotius, he along with Tsuyo told the Animaverian Government’s main body council of Soko’s heroic efforts manage to save the planet from the Archaealite threat, which Maisha is satisfied.
